The Head of DDM's role is to control and oversee business operations in the DACH region with a strong focus on growth, local client relationships, client education and perception in the market. The Head of DDM will be responsible for ensuring the overall increasing success of the business and functioning of the DDM team as well as its integration with our content practice and evolution of the market.
The overarching goals of the Head of DDM are to (1) ensure we are reaching the vision, goals and objectives set by the leadership team (2) ensure that the individuals working in the DDM German team are well cared for and supported, (3) and that there is strong and strategic growth of DDM in the DACH region (reflected in strong net revenue figures). The Head of DDM must be able to collaborate with local and pan-EMEA regional teams, be a connector for other capabilities, local partners and assist the local team members in making connections with other Media.Monks capabilities and regions around the world. The Head of DDM will report into the MD EMEA for Data and Digital Media.

**General Business & Market**
- Manage and lead a small, high-performing team, providing them with direction and support.
- Oversee sales initiatives in the region and ensure achievement of set targets.
- Stay updated with the latest digital trends and technologies to maintain competitiveness and innovation.
- Collaborate closely with partnerships, growth, and local teams to align on strategic goals and initiatives.
- Meeting the agreed upon targets (financial, operational, human resource, market)
- Nurture staff, be the inspiring and supportive leader in-market sharing country vision, building trust, confidence and motivation in the teams.
- Act as a public speaker and representative of the company in ways that improve our standing in the market and reputation.
- Share bold new ideas focused on increasing the business and bettering the environment for the people who work with us.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for the DACH region to drive business growth and market share.
- Foster communication and collaboration between different pillars, including content, data, media, and technology.
- Identify and build relationships with key stakeholders and partners within the DACH digital media landscape.
**Financials & Legal**
- Manage the country specific budgets (marketing budgets, travel budgets, office space, expenses, team events etc)
- Work with capability leads to manage headcount and staffing in order to ensure EBITDA targets and topline revenue goals are met for the region
**People**
- Support in hiring the right people and ensuring the team we have is aligned to the company culture and values with capability leads
- Push for consolidated ways of working across our offerings
- Ensure the culture is aligned with the rest of Media.Monks in country and we avoid culture confusion
- Work with capability leads to ensure we have strong technical expertise in our people
- Build the morale of the team members through good times and bad
- Safeguard against talent attrition
**Key Qualifications**:
- 7+ years of management experience with a proven record of coordinating diverse teams with disparate responsibilities to tangible client successes or goals while ensuring the support, development, and motivation of the team
- Proven communicator who can present a clear, well-supported point of view, tell a compelling "story," and "sell" data and media buying engagements
- An inspiring leader who can motivate and support teams and individuals
- Must be very organized with a high level of attention to detail, yet be able to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment. Ability to define concrete action points in ambiguous or unprecedented situations is essential.
- Be a disruptor, ready to challenge false wisdoms and inefficient processes
- Proven experience in sales and leading small teams.
- Strong understanding of data analysis, technology, content, and digital media strategies.
- Native German speaker with excellent command of the English language.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain strong professional relationships with colleagues, partners, and clients.
- Able to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
