Associate Scientist

Canopy Biosciences, a Bruker company is seeking for a highly motivated scientist to join our service operations team located in Leipzig. You will work in a team-oriented environment and be responsible for performing, developing, validating, and troubleshooting assays on our multiplex spatial proteomics ChipCytometry platform. You will be a key contributor in a team executing scientific research or clinical studies for our customers in academia or industry, who must be able to work independently and take initiative in planning, conducting, and reporting on the studies that you are responsible for. A strong customer focus is required.

Aufgaben/Verantwortlichkeiten:

- Process cell and tissue samples from various sources including micro
- and cryosectioning
- Design, develop and execute high-plex immunofluorescent multiplex assays for customer projects
- Review, troubleshoot, and optimize performance of multiplex assays
- Process, analyze, and report study results
- Manage, monitor, and maintain equipment and supplies
- Collaborate across teams to accomplish specific tasks and company objectives within project timelines
- Follow company quality policy and safety practices, including training, lab safety, record keeping

Qualifikationen:

- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Biology, Immunology, Biochemistry, or related field
- Lab experience in histology, microscopy, or flow cytometry
- Proficient in handling cell cultures, primary cells and/or tissue
- Ability to process tissue including cryosectioning is a plus
- Capable of independent literature research, planning, evaluation and presentation of experiments and data
- Ability to establish new protocols and workflows
- Ability to work both as part of a team and independently
- A passion for working with new technologies
