Are you ready to leverage your expertise in cost controlling while working closely with core production processes in a leading global stainless steel company? Outokumpu is seeking a dedicated and skilled Cost Controller to join our Operations Controlling team in Krefeld. This role will offer you the opportunity to manage cost controlling activities, perform monthly closing tasks, and act as a crucial business partner for our production teams.
**_The Role:_**
As a Cost Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing cost management within our Krefeld plant. Your role will involve tracking and analyzing costs, facilitating effective decision-making, and implementing cost optimization strategies. You will work closely with production teams and report on cost performance, contributing to our ongoing improvement and efficiency.
**_Your Responsibilities:_**
- Determine cost drivers, activities, and allocation keys.
- Monitor monthly cost updates against targets and forecasts, analyze deviations, and implement corrective actions in collaboration with the production team.
- Conduct monthly cost review meetings and promote cost awareness within production teams.
- Develop and maintain the monthly cost and KPI development report.
- Optimize costs through strategic initiatives and process improvements.
- Coordinate budgeting activities with production teams and manage functional costs.
- Plan and track cost centers and cost elements related to production and functional costs.
- Handle investment and maintenance budget planning and tracking.
- Continuously improve tools and processes for effective cost controlling.
- Provide local, BA/BL, and group-level reporting and support project initiatives.
**_Your Profile:_**
- University degree in Finance, Business Administration, Industrial Management, Engineering, or a comparable field.
- Fluent in German with strong English skills.
- Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, SAP, and OneStream preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with a proactive, flexible, and cooperative work style.
- Ability to independently drive initiatives and develop solutions.
