**Your Team responsibilities**

Based in Frankfurt, you will be the CCO of an ESG provider that will be registered in the EU, reporting to the Global ESG Compliance Counsel in London for MSCI’s ESG business. Responsibilities center around compliance of MSCI’s ESG business with the contemplated EU regulation of ESG ratings providers. Other compliance areas covered will include general corporate compliance, employee trading, outside business activities, and EU anti-bribery, anti-money laundering.

**Your key responsibilities**

The role will involve dealing with:

- Regulatory exams, inquiries, and enforcement actions
- Regulatory change management and rule mapping
- Regulatory compliance counseling
- Policies and procedures
- Training, education and awareness
- Monitoring, testing and approvals
- Internal investigations
- Annual and quarterly comliance reports
- Other compliance projects and tasks that may arise or be assigned, including some related to EU Benchmark Regulations

**Your skills and experience that will help you excel**
- Lawyer with a minimum of five years of compliance experience at a top financial services institution
- Comfortable interacting with regulators
- Strong working knowledge of regulatory framework for the financial industry in the EU
- Experience with implementation of new regulations, regulatory exams and enforcement actions, interactions with financial services regulators
- Proactive initiative in quickly learning the business and coming up to speed in new areas
- Desire to learn new regulatory frameworks and interest in regulatory change
- Ability to work effectively across borders and regions
- Positive, execution-oriented outlook, willingness to pitch in as needed
- Organized self-starter who meets deadlines and acts independently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to analyze legal and business risks to help develop business-oriented, compliant solutions
- Strong English oral and written communication skills
- Builds relationships and trust with clients and colleagues
- Very comfortable using technology, online systems, and databases and interested in innovation
- Experience in an English-speaking country is preferred
- Familiarity with matrix and corporate culture of a global financial institution
- Familiarity with EU Benchmark Regulations
