For our German site in **Wesseling near Cologne** we are looking for a

**Contractor, Project and Turnaround Safety Manager (M/F/d)**

**Responsibilities & Accountabilities**
- Manages all Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) relevant aspects of contractor management
- Ensures effective communication of all HSE relevant topics to contractors
- Manages all HSE relevant aspects at the Contractor Safety Board
- Manages all HSE relevant processes for contractor selection, auditing, onboarding and assessment
- Ensure effective communication with safety officers of contractors
- Responsible for HSE in major projects and turnarounds. Member of project - and Turnaround Management Team, Turnaround Core Team and as Lead Safety Engineer during major turnarounds/projects
- Manages all HSE relevant aspects according to the Turnaround Excellence Modell
- Serves as liaison in internal and external turnaround audits
- Leads safety contractors during turnarounds and projects
- Ensures sustainable learning from experience in turnarounds and projects
- Takes the project manager role when major system changes are needed to ensure compliance to external and internal standard related to contractor safety
- Membership in the site Emergency Management Team

**Qualifications**
- Master's degree in safety engineering or a comparable discipline
- At least 3 years of work experience in projects and / or Turnarounds within the chemical or petrochemical industry
- Training as safety officer (Sicherheitsfachkraft gemäß ArbSichG)
- Knowledge of IT Tools Impact, Investigation tools
- Fluency in German and English, written and spoken
- Strong analytical thinking. Creating new and better ways for the organization to be successful. Uses lateral thinking. Questions the status quo.
- Building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives, within and across functions.
- Strong and effective communication skills
