**Position Overview**:
Catalent is a leading provider of advanced technologies and outsourced services for the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and consumer health industry. Among its core offerings, develops and manufactures oral and sterile pharmaceuticals in nearly all major dosage forms, and offers proprietary technologies used in many well-known prescriptions and over-the-counter products. Catalent is also the largest contract packager of pharmaceuticals.

The Finance Director leads in collaboration with Head of Finance CDS all finance and accounting activities at the Schorndorf site for the CDS business. The Finance Director serves on the site CDS leadership team and provides financial reporting and analysis, accounting close, forecasting, and decision support for the site.

**II.** **Essential Functions**:

- Monitor compliance with Financial Policies and Procedures
- Provide financial decision support to the site
- Manage the performance and professional development of the Finance team covering controlling and accounting tasks
- Lead finance team members supporting:

- Client billing and cash collections
- Finance reporting for Schorndorf CDS
- Acquisition, protection, and disposal of company assets
- Responsible for ensuring Capital Appropriation Requests (CAR) are loaded accurately and with sufficient detail into the Catalent Capex System (CCS) for senior management review and approval.
- Prepare Management Presentation material and present for monthly forecast/close meetings & Operations Reviews, client meetings and QBRs
- Monthly accounting (AR, AP/FA and GL), forecast & reporting processes to ensure that Corporate, Business Unit and site timelines and objectives are met
- Perform monthly variance review of income statement
- Proactively identify, analyze and present financial reporting and analysis in an accurate and timely manner to Site and Functional leaders
- Contribute to weekly revenue and EBITDA flash process with Business Unit leaders
- Recommend and implement techniques to improve productivity, increase efficiencies, cut costs, take advantage of opportunities, create synergies and maintain state-of-the-art practices
- Contribution to improvement of IT landscape and best use of existing tools and databases
- Lead annual Site and Functional Budget process including development/analysis of budget tracks; developing, communicating and driving the budget timeline; creating budget templates; creating and maintaining budget roll-up files; and preparing budget deliverables for Site Management and BU Leadership Team
- Responsible for the annual five-year strategic planning process in co-ordination with the GM and Head of Finance. Responsibilities include analysis of strategic initiatives that will support site growth and review throughout the year to track progress against targets.
- Revenue Recognition expertise is required in accordance with US and local GAAP. Understanding multiple element arrangements revenue guidance is necessary. Documenting the policy and instructing site personnel and maintain appropriate controls on this process is essential
- Manage and support preparation of local statutory accounts and related tax returns
- Manage internal and external audit support
- Maintain the effectiveness of the financial controls for corporate governance and SOX compliance. This position is expected to have a deep understanding of Catalent accounting policies as well as site processes to ensure the financial statements are accurately reflected. Finding efficiencies in our processes and continuous improvement is expected. Site readiness for successful internal and external audits is required.
- Complete financial analysis of proposed investments and other projects
- Development and implementation of financial policies and procedures
- Represent finance function on various project teams

**III.** **Position Requirements**:
**Education or Equivalent**:
BA/BS (or Equivalent) in accounting or business. Prefer MBA or CPA.

**Experience**:

- 10+ years’ progressive experience in finance and accounting (US listed companies preferred)
- 5+ years supporting manufacturing and distribution entities. Experience with a pharmaceutical manufacturer desired.
- 5+ years leading professional finance and accounting staff
- Experience with ERP systems (JD Edwards preferred) and cost accounting
- Experience with planning and consolidation systems (One Stream preferred)
- Experience with global project and change management
- Cross boarder engagements

**Knowledge/Skills Requirements**:

- Ability to lead professional staff in timely completion of recurring tasks
- Understanding of finance professional development
- Strong planning and organizing ability
- Excellent collaboration skills within and across functions
- Frequent and effective communication with staff members at all levels
- Strong familiarity with US GAAP and local GAAP (HGB)
- Familiarity with shared services (SSC) Accounts Payable and Receivable opera
