The Helmholtz Institute for Translational Oncology Mainz (HI-TRON Mainz) is a joint venture of the German

Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) in cooperation with the Research Institute for Translational Oncology at the

University Medical Center of the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz (TRON gGmbH), the University Medical

Center Mainz (UM) and the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz (JGU). The main goal is to combine the

internationally outstanding expertise of these partners in the field of personalized immunotherapy in Mainz

with the comprehensive spectrum of cutting-edge cancer research at the DKFZ. HI-TRON Mainz aims to

position itself among the world-leading centers for personalized cancer immuno-oncology.

In order to expand our technological knowledge and expertise and to facilitate data production, - analysis and
- management at the individual sites of the HI-TRON and to work towards central solutions that lead to FAIR

data repositories we are looking as soon as possible for a

**Bioinformatician / Data Steward (M/F/d)**

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**

Design and implementation of a common data catalogue (data base) for HI-TRON based on existing

solutions

Coordination of omics-data flows and sample meta data tracking between the different sites of HI-TRON

Support and consult of researchers with planning of data production and data analysis

**QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE **

Degree (BA, MSc) in bioinformatics, informatics or any similar field

Experience in the analysis of NGS data and biological data

Experience in sample tracking, LIMS systems or related solutions for high throughput dataProgramming

skills in at least one scripting language (Python, Perl, R,)

Knowledge of UNIX-based operating systems
