**Tasks**:***
The successful applicant will be involved in all cell biology and molecular biology projects conducted in the group. This includes the cell culture of established, widely employed cell lines as well as the culture and differentiation of human induced pluripotent stem cells. Furthermore, the position involves analysis of RNA and protein levels by standard techniques (RT-qPCR, Western blot, immunofluorescence) as well as the preparation of samples for next-generation sequencing (including third-generation and single-cell sequencing). The applicant will also be responsible for the organization of the laboratory. This includes ordering of stocks for the lab and contacting external suppliers for equipment services where necessary.
Principal responsibilities:
- Cell culture
- Molecular biology (RNA/DNA purification, qPCR, PCR, Cloning)
- Western blots, Immunofluorescence
- Sample preparation for sequencing (third-generation sequencing, single-cell sequencing)
- General lab activities and organization (orders, shipment of samples, preparation of reagents, maintenance and care of lab equipment)
**Required qualifications**:***
Applicants should hold a technical degree as research technician (MTA, BTA) or equivalent (undergraduate degree). Experience in RNA handling is desirable, experience in general cell culture and standard molecular biology techniques is expected.
The applicant should be able to work reliably and independently, have excellent documentation skills and be able to work and communicate in an international team. Flexibility in working times is desirable.
- Fluent spoken and written English and/ or German are required. Standard software skills (Office, GraphPad) are required, experience in ELN documentation is a plus.**What we offer**:***
