Tasks
- Working with a Laboratory Information Management System (Labware LIMS)
- Tissue Processing (Fixation, Dehydration, Embedding, Re-Embedding)
- Preparation of paraffin
- and cryo sections using a microtome
- Preparation of substrate solutions, buffer solutions and other reagents
- Supply inventory; maintenance of reagent lists and lot lists
- Order management (preparation, placement, reception and invoice verification)
- Communication with suppliers (e.g. request quotes)
- Operation, service and maintenance of devices
- Preparation and review of SOP/INS/FORMs
- Execution of lab work according to GCP
- GCP compliant documentation of all relevant laboratory activities in TALIMS-1 or other appropriate data carriers (lab journals, customer’s records, etc.)
- Preparation and post-processing of internal and external audits and monitoring visits
- De-paraffinization, histological staining and coverslipping of tissue sections
- Sample management: passing on slides to other departments, like pathologists or the study secretary team
- Assistance in sample check-in
- Assisting in monitoring activities (Comparability of devices, comparability of methods, comparability of platforms)
- Assay development: performing validation experiments and reviewing validation documents
- Device validations (e.g. risk assessment)

**Requirements**:

- Successfully completed education as BTA/MTA/CTA
- Ideally 2 years of work experience as lab technician
- Good English skills, both in writing and verbally
- A structured and independent way of working
- Distinct ability to communication and team work
