YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Familiarize yourself with vortex particle methods (FLOW Unsteady, DUST)
- Setup validation cases for isolated propeller simulations in unsteady loading conditions and multi-propeller configurations
- Multi-fidelity data generation of aerodynamic data
- Perform post-processing and analysis of the numerical data
- Familiarize yourself with available in-house simulations models
- Continue the development of a vortex particle method to improve the numerical accuracy and solver time performance
- Documentation of implementation and performed research studies

YOUR PROFILE
- Enrolled student (M/F/d) in a technical course, such as mechanical engineering or aerospace engineering with focus on aerodynamics
- Good understanding and interest in aerodynamics and computational fluid dynamics
- Basic knowledge of a CFD software is beneficial (Ansys Fluent preferred)
- Solid understanding of propellers and/or helicopter rotor aerodynamics
- Extensive experience and knowledge in a programming language (Python, Matlab and C++ are preferred)
