Are you interested in working in a dynamic insurtec company and helping us prevent legal risks and solve legal issues? Then you are the future Senior Compliance & Data Privacy Counsel (f/m/d) we are looking for.

In this role you will
- Providing to the Country Business Leader, the Country ExCos and the Country Directors holistically all compliance and data privacy advice they need to successfully run the Business, perform their tasks, fulfill the strategy defined by the Group and ensure full compliance of applicable laws and regulations.
- As appointed DPO for the German market handling all the interactions with German data protection authorities.
- Conduct investigations into compliance and/or ethics issues.
- To carry out duties as the appointed DPO and identifying, implementing, overseeing and monitoring data privacy issues.
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures to support and promote regulatory compliance and a culture of integrity.
- Promote awareness and responsibility through regular communication and training, including developing and conducting regular training for Company personnel.
- Facilitate Company's risk management process, conducting risk assessments and maintaining risk registers, and organizing/managing risk committees as relevant.
- Conduct periodic monitoring and compliance assessments to confirm compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies and standards.

**What you bring**:

- Master’s degree in law from a top university of Germany.
- Training with a degree in data protection (CIPP or equivalent) is a must and any additional specific education in compliance, project. management or insurance management is very welcome (e.g.Certified Compliance Professional, LL.M., PhD, Bar qualification).
- Professional experience of at least 5-10 years in a comparable role in the financial, preferably insurance sector of Germany or with a Data Privacy / Financial Services Supervisory Authority required.
- Full
- or part time (80% - 100%).
- Labor market admission in Germany is necessary.
- German and English on C2 level (in writing and oral) a must, any additional language welcome.
- Strong technical skills (MS Office, Google Suite) and experience in compliance & data privacy management systems requested.
