About the Role
HARMAN’s Corporate Strategy team drives the long-term plan and goals for HARMAN. The Director Corporate Strategy, Lifestyle Portfolio will lead and advance strategic projects that contribute to the long-term growth and development of the Lifestyle business. The role reports to the Sr. Director Strategy - Lifestyle. In this role you will provide an outside-in view of business and market trends. You will partner with the Lifestyle division business leaders to develop the current and future business portfolio strategy that drives above market rate of growth.
Your Team
This position has no direct reports and will be an individual contributor role with access to the project-related virtual teams and business stakeholders.
What You Will Do
- Drive and manage strategic projects on behalf of the HARMAN’s Lifestyle division in an internal consulting capacity
- Support inorganic growth projects in collaboration with the Lifestyle division comprising outside-in due diligence, assessment of competitive performance of targets, and develop synergy cases
- Develop partnership strategies in support of the business
- Drive the development of new business opportunities and business models based on comprehensive analysis of markets and investment opportunities
What You Need
- Master’s or bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or related field
- 3+ year experience in strategy consulting
- 10+ years of experience in consumer electronics, audio, or technology industry
- Experience managing and leading large projects
- Proficient in market data analysis and competitive intelligence, including hands-on experience in leveraging analytical tools and methods
- Strong leadership, ownership of results, negotiating and collaboration skills
- Impactful communication skills, both written and verbal with an ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of senior stakeholders and all levels of the organization
What is Nice to Have
- Previous experience working within a global matrixed organization
- Experience in market intelligence tools such as AlphaSense, Futuresource, GfK, and other
What Makes You Eligible
- Be willing to travel up to 25%, domestic and international travel.
- Be willing to work remotely and occasionally in an office located in Germany
