**The role offers the opportunity for remote working, with office presence in Hanover, Germany, as required. As a location we can consider any TUI (office) location in Europe.**

The Portfolio Management Function is at the forefront of TUI Hotels & Resorts long term strategy development driving projects in close collaboration with our hotel partners and other group functions such as Group Strategy, M&A, Controlling and Finance & Accounting. The team acts as business partners for Senior Leadership and supports and develops the strategic agenda of TUI Hotels & Resorts. The nature of the work is characterized by internationalism, diversity, agility and complexity.
As a Head of Portfolio Strategy you will be reporting directly to the Director Portfolio Management. You will lead and support activities and deliverables which form part of the Strategic Agenda of TUI Group. These activities range from: strategy development, portfolio & market analysis, portfolio investments and divestments, turnaround & restructuring, Joint Venture collaboration projects, business intelligence and competitor research.
ABOUT THE JOB
Leading strategic portfolio management projects from ideation, business case development to board approval preparation
Partner the strategy development process for TUI Hotels & Resorts in close liaison with the leadership team and ensuring effective communication and handover to the business and/or joint venture partner
Strategic analysis of the TUI Hotels & Resorts asset portfolio, joint venture partnerships as well as destination development and competitor research
Leading the Business Intelligence set-up and ongoing professional portfolio analysis of TUI Hotels & Resorts complex asset structure in strong collaboration with the IT-department
Ensuring that strategic considerations of each project are rigorously fact-based, well documented and challenged appropriately and that the final recommendation is aligned with the overarching strategy of the TUI Group
Achieve a high degree of insight and data with regards to TUI Hotels & Resorts competitors, their business models and their performance
Preparation of papers on strategic portfolio and market topics for C-Level Boards
Contributing significantly to the good organization of intradepartmental running processes, including team management
Continuously contributing to the team’s knowledge with high quality inputs, analysis and perspectives
ABOUT YOU
A strong educational background combined with a track record of successful business/strategy development and/or management consulting projects, preferably in the tourism/hotel or any other asset industry
Relevant experience in managing complex projects in agile, international environments as well as multi-stakeholder structures
Strong financial acumen, a passion for strategic analysis and thinking, combined with a hands-on mentality
Senior stakeholder management skills, convincing understanding of your area of expertise and ability to challenge and improve the thinking of senior managers
Proactive mindset, ability to work in a fast-paced environment and a strong drive for results
Strong commercial awareness and very good judgement combined with the ability to prioritise and assist the business in achieving maximum value
Professionalism and integrity, consistently working to high standards and a high degree of self-motivation
Natural communicator, willing to share knowledge and insights on the big picture to drive the teams motivation to effectively contribute to project results
Fluent proficiency in English, German language skills would be a plus
Calm and patient under pressure whilst thriving in a changing, dynamic environment
Strategic and able to see and manage the big picture while grasping the detail
