**Communications Lead at the EU-Russia Civil Society Forum**
The EU-Russia Civil Society Forum, founded in March 2011 and joined by 191 non
- governmental organisations in the EU, Russia and the United Kingdom, is a platform for cooperation of civil society organisations with the purpose to develop common positions, increase cooperation between civil society organisations, coordinate their advocacy activities and make their voice stronger in interaction with the general public, governments and other stakeholders. The CSF Board stands in full solidarity with the people of Ukraine. The CSF is currently financed by the EU and other governmental and private donors.
**Job summary**:
This position is full-time (40 hours per week). The Communications Lead should bring in extensive experience in the field of communications, team management, public and governmental relations and a track record of producing excellent communication products. Besides, s/he shall ideally have worked both in and outside of the civil society sector.
**Job Description/ Main Functions**:
- Elaborating and delivering on the overall Communications Strategy and Visibility Plan, ensuring initiatives and projects are clearly communicated to key audiences.
- Coordinating and executing Forum publicity and outreach: media relations and events, GR, stakeholders, website, social media, podcast.
- Leading our Comms team (Internal Communications Officer, SMM Manager, intern/ working student), supporting the CSF team in enhancing their communication skills.
- Growing Forum international media representation, ensuring media support of projects and events (including Annual Conferences, etc.), identifying and pursuing relevant communications opportunities.
- Producing Forum Annual Report, drafting/ editing a variety of news products, directing messaging, visual and printing productions, liaising with comms service providers.
- Ensuring compliance with donors' visibility guidelines and obligations, contributing to the reporting to donors.
**Requirements/ Job Qualification**:
- 3-5 years of experiences at a senior position in communications in an international organisation, NGO or company, with a track record of producing concise and accessible communication products/ content.
- Experience in leading and developing teams.
- Broad network of contacts throughout the EU - media, publishers, comms service providers.
- A very good understanding of the media landscape in Europe, EU policies and politics.
- Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills in English.
- Strong storytelling abilities.
- Excellent English language skills; German or French at a good level; Russian (at least at the level of general understanding) desirable.
- Strong strategical and analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, hands-on and can-do mentality.
- Extensive experience with content management systems, social media and visualisation tools.
- A valid work permit for Germany/ EU. Residence in Berlin/ willingness to re-locate to Berlin.
