We are currently seeking a qualified **Accounting Specialist** to bolster financial processes in Troisdorf at DFDS Rail.

**You Will Be Responsible For**
- Execution of accounting processes in accordance with legislation and deadlines.
- Controlling and registering invoices received for the activities carried out accordance with internal control procedures, generating relevant outgoing invoices on a weekly basis in the same context and sharing them with customers.
- Submitting reclamation requests to suppliers in case there is a discrepancy between the expected cost and the received one.
- Playing an active role in account reconciliations, always ensuring that the account balances are up-to-date and accurate.
- Creating weekly payment lists and submitting them for approval.
- Sharing bank statements weekly in accordance with IRS.
- Controlling and registering expenses such as travel expenses as per IRS.
- Calculation and sharing of monthly accruals for accurate monthly results. Additional accounting duties as needed.

**About You**

Graduated from Business Administration, Finance/Accounting, or related field.
- Preferably with experience in the logistics industry
- Proven experience in finance and accounting roles, minimum 2 years experience in the field
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Datev and Microsoft Excel.
- Have a good command of English,
- Good communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with suppliers, customers, and internal departments.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
