We are looking for an Executive Editor (M/F/d) to join our editorial team by September 2023.
Tasks
- Management of legal journals: desk reviews, editing, formatting and typesetting of manuscripts; liaising with authors, reviewers and editorial team; planning content, setting and adhering to production deadlines.
- Keeping abreast of developments in relevant legal and policy areas; pro-actively curating the journals to reflect interesting developments in the focus areas.
- Creating and implementing outreach and business development initiatives to increase the visibility of the journals (in conjunction with Lexxion's marketing team).
- Developing ideas for and planning seminars and conferences with our conference managers.
**Requirements**:
- Strong interest in European law and policy.
- Preferably master’s degree in EU law/affairs and international economic law/affairs.
- Excellent planning, management, and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable interacting with high-level professionals and experts.
- Demonstrates meticulous attention to detail coupled with strategic, big-picture thinking.
- A background in the specific journal topics is an advantage, but not a requirement.
- Previous experience in the publishing sector will be highly valued.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
