**Duties**:

- Responsible for operation and maintenance of all Unclassified/Classified/Coalition Network, Campus Area Network (CAN), Wide Area Network (WAN), Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and Voice over Secure Internet Protocol (VoSIP) infrastructure.
- Develop and direct the implementation of VOIP systems, including voice, video, and voice messaging; Oversee configuration and integration of voice and data networking components in the development/fielding of IP telephony systems within the Region.
- Prepare and present briefings to senior management officials on complex and controversial issues.
- Direct scheduled preventative and unscheduled demand maintenance in accordance with policy, guidance and directives.
- Supervise replacement of faulty equipment hardware with spare part(s) and ensure defective equipment is turned-in for repair or replacement.
- Focal point for management, oversight and control of the Telecommunications Network, VoIP, transport and telephone systems, Video Teleconferencing facilities and Multimedia systems and support.
- Continually analyze and recommend improvements in hardware or software configuration to enhance user responses, overall system, trouble ticketing, and data integrity.
- Distribute new regulatory requirements to installation tenants and assist in the development and compliance of local directives, policies, and procedures relative to telecommunication services.
- Supervise civilian and military personnel involved in network and telecommunications work.

**Conditions of Employment**:

- You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
- Two year probationary period may be required.
- One year supervisory probationary period may be required.
- Applicants must comply with the Exceptional Family Member Program requirements as outlined in the DoD Instruction 1315.19.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Top Secret security clearance eligibility with access to sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
- Position requires that employee passes screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and subsequent periodic drug screening thereafter.
- The employee must obtain and maintain a valid Stateside Driver?s License.
- The incumbent must obtain and maintain a Transportation Motor Pool (TMP) driver's license for driving Government owned vehicles.
- This position requires the employee to occasionally travel approximately 15% of the time from the normal duty station.
- This position requires occasional on call duty, weekend work, and/or overtime.
- Incumbent must obtain and maintain an official passport.

**Qualifications**:

- Incumbent (or Selectee) appointed to IA/IT positions must complete all DoD 8570.1-M, Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program training and certification (baseline and computing environment (CE)) requirements within 6 months. Sustainment training is required as needed to keep the IA\IT professional proficient in their job duties. All individuals performing technical functions are required to sign a Privileged-Level Access Agreement (PAA) and Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA).
- This position may be designated as Mission Essential (ME). The position is needed to ensure facility operations in support of Continuity of Operations Programs (COOP) and/or performance of duties and completion of tasks that are mission essential functions of the organization.
- This position may be considered emergency essential in support of the Army's mobilization and wartime mission during periods of increasing tension or mobilization. A position is considered emergency essential because (1) no qualified and immediate replacement exists and (2) having the position vacant would (a) impair the effective operation of essential military support systems or (b) adversely impact the combat or peacekeeping mission of deployed forces. In addition, DA civilians who occupy emergency essential positions overseas must sign a statement of understanding including that as a requirement of the position, they will remain in the event of hostilities or mobilization until relieved by proper authority. E-E employees may be required to undergo nuclear-biological and chemical training and to participate in readiness tests, mobilization, alerts, and field training exercises. E-E employees must also pass a medical examination and receive required immunizations for the overseas/deployed location. E-E employees must sign DD Form 2365, DoD Civilian Employee Overseas Emergency Essential Position Agreement.
- Due to COVID-19, the agency is currently in an expanded telework posture. If selected, you may be expected to temporarily telework, even if your home is located outside the local commuting area. Once employees are permitted
