From our critical awareness of our own history, we want to derive lessons for our current and future decisions.

In that context Bayer has established Hans and Berthold Finkelstein Foundation, and currently looks for a Managing Director to steer its work. The Foundation will focus on fostering the culture of remembrance and research into the injustice that occurred during the Nazi regime. Programs shall include the support of independent research, especially on I.G. Farben and forced labor, as well as initiatives to strengthen the culture of remembrance, and programs that raise awareness on the threat posed by totalitarian systems and tyranny.
