**Description**:
Following the merger of the Dow Chemical Company and DuPont, we are strengthening Corteva Agriscience, the Agricultural Division of DowDuPont. Towards that, the Regulatory and Stewardship (RAS) function is recruiting a professional as an EMEA REACH & Chemical Legislation Regulatory Associate for both our crop protection and seeds platforms at our European Development Center, in Milton Park, Oxfordshire, UK.

**Purpose**

We are looking for an EMEA REACH & Chemical Legislation Regulatory Associate with experience with managing chemical legislation and a significant academic background. Complying with chemical legislation is a critical activity to enable and to maintain freedom to operate in Europe, Middle East and Africa for Corteva AgriScience. Focused attention is needed in all defined areas: SDS, Classification and Labeling, REACh and other chemical regulations impacting plant protection products and seeds treatment. Our Regulatory & Stewardship department is engaged in securing and maintaining authorisations for plant protection products and their active substances in Europe, Middle East and Africa.

The incumbent will be primarily responsible to develop and implement chemicals registration strategy for designated chemical substances that acknowledge the threats and business opportunities identified in EMEA. The role will have a strong focus on the interface between Chemical Regulations and Plant Protection products regulation (e.g. interface REACH 1907/2006 and PPPR 1107/2009).

**Key Responsibilities**
- Complete the regulatory assessment of raw materials and co-formulants used in synthesis of active substances and formulations development. Provide strategic advice to business focal points on how to meet EMEA chemical legislation requirements. Advise European Regulatory programme team leader and formulation chemist about suitable alternatives co-formulants and raw materials as per chemical legislation requirements.
- Lead the Manufacturing Sites Compliance Checks, working with site REACH Focal Points (e.g. use & mapping; exposure scenario review; implementation of strictly controlled conditions)
- Complete the REACH downstream user compliance check for all purchased materials to secure safe use of co-formulants and raw materials in our portfolio (e.g. agrochemical uses). Identify appropriate regulatory actions and define implementation plan in collaboration with the REACH Compliance team.
- Act as the focal point for Brexit matters in regards with REACH and CLP.
- Contribute to REACH Registration activities within the Chemical Legislation Team in order to secure REACH & ChemLeg compliance for all Corteva portfolio within defined timelines.
