Summary

For the Area "Accounting Operations" we are looking for a "Senior Accountant & FI-Specialist (f/m/d)" at the Ulm site as soon as possible.

The "Accounting Operations" Area is responsible within the Finance organization for preparing the individual financial statements of our German companies in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB) and IFRS, as well as the necessary operational accounting transactions in general ledger accounting and sub-ledger accounting (accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets and bank accounting). In addition, the team is responsible throughout the Group for continuously improving and ensuring uniform specifications, processes and guidelines in the area of responsibility of operational accounting.

Your Tasks- Responsible for the overall coordination of the closing process (consolidated/individual financial statements) and ensuring timely completion including the control of all participating departments as well as the execution and documentation of the monthly release meetings- Contact person for complex accounting issues and their implementation in SAP (posting logic, adjustment of chart of accounts)- Significant cooperation in the preparation of the monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements of the individual companies (HGB and IFRS) as well as the consolidated financial statements (IFRS) of the HENSOLDT group- Support of the SAP FI module in the area of financial accounting- Collaboration in the SAP FI role concept and optimization of the relevant processes in close cooperation with IT- Continuous (further) development and assurance of uniform specifications, processes and guidelines for group accounting- Main responsible interface to the finance contact persons of the different international group companies, controlling and IT

Your Profile- Completed studies in economics, business administration or similar- Additional training / further education as a financial or balance sheet accountant would be advantageous- Extensive professional experience in a comparable area of responsibility at an international company in group accounting according to IFRS- Experience as SAP key user in the area of finance advantageous- Experience in one of the large auditing companies advantageous- Sound process knowledge of financial accounting and controlling procedures- Knowledge of balance sheet accounting is a prerequisite- Confident handling of MS Office and SAP (FI/CO) and project experience in the context of SAP FI/CO- Ability to work in a team and very good communication skills- Independent, structured as well as process-oriented way of working- Business fluent German and advanced English skills
