Palabra is an independent bar specialising in curating mezcal spirits from small Mexican distilleries, accompanied by top quality sound. Located in a historical building on the Frankfurter Allee, Friedrichshain, we have a special interest in music, arts and cultural events. We strive to enrich our Kiez by creating a meeting point, bringing people together to celebrate and share culture through music, drinks and conversation.

**What we are looking for**
- Already has first experience working in a bar, pub or restaurant as a waitress/waiter or bartender
- Knowledge of cocktails/spirits and able to confidently describe drinks and ingredients
- Good communications skills - a friendly personality who enjoys interacting with people
- A reliable team-player who keeps a calm head in busy environments and takes initiative
- A flexible and collaborative work ethic
- A lover of Berlin’s diverse nightlife, arts and music coupled with a genuine desire to learn more about Mezcales, cocktail making and hosting cultural events
- Excellent English, German is an advantage

Your tasks will include
- Taking orders, recommending, explaining and preparing drinks, serving customers
- Supporting with event organisation and hosting
- Handing payments
- Collaborating with other team members for bar opening, closing and general work

**Working hours**:
5-hour to 8-hour shifts

Max. 40 hours a month (more can be arranged upon request)

Evening / night shifts

One to three shifts between Thursday and Saturday
