**Category Lead (M/F/d)**

From chemical raw materials, through CMOs, logistics partners and external service providers, the fulfillment of the Bayer vision and our divisional sales increasingly depend on it. So, the team who helps select, run and further develops these supplier relationships are needed as the value built will enable us to deliver on our mission objectives.

**YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Global E2E accountability for a Procurement Directs subcategory including general category management, sourcing, supplier relationship management and transactional process efficiency
- Ensure market access and supplies to enable business operations according to Procurement model
- Development and implementation of category strategies and steering of category projects
- Leading contractual negotiations according to business needs, best value and Procurement vision
- Supporting the Pharma product supply organization with a focus on supply network setup
- Build alliances with other Procurement categories and business divisions
- Steer and lead external service providers for transactional Procurement activities based on category strategy

**WHO YOU ARE**
- You are a role model for constructive behaviours (Bayer LIFE values), you have strong influencing and engagement skills across cultures and functions with intercultural awareness leading and working in a global and virtual working environment
- You have a master´s or equivalent degree in science, engineering or business management, ideally accompanied by validated professional business experience
- Strategic approach and conceptualisation skills
- Strong communication, presentation and influencing capabilities
- Result orientation and enduring effort to promote your category needs
- Agile project management as well as analytical thinking and decision-making skills
- Being able to master ambiguity and complexity with a self-empowered working style
- High proficiency level in English, both written and spoken
