**Your team**
- You will be part of the team overseeing the Register of Institutions and Affiliates Data (RIAD) in the Master and Metadata Section, which forms part of the Analytical Credit and Master Data Division in the Directorate General Statistics. RIAD is the shared entity master dataset used across the ESCB to support several of its key business processes and data collection activities. We are currently working on enhancing the RIAD data model and IT platform to support the forthcoming Integrated Reporting Framework (IReF) and further ESCB statistical and operational processes.

In your role as Economist-Statistician, you will be part of a team of about ten members of staff responsible for the collection, quality assurance and dissemination of entity master data on some 13 million ESCB-relevant counterparties in support of key ECB functions. The RIAD team works in close cooperation with the national central banks (NCBs) and national competent authorities (NCAs) participating in the RIAD Hub Network (RHN). This work includes monitoring data quality, supporting users and other stakeholders, gathering and assessing user needs for entity reference data and group information, and tracking their implementation in close collaboration with IT service providers.

**Your role**

As an Economist-Statistician you will:

- support RIAD users and connected client systems, following up on requests for both methodological and technical assistance;
- contribute to RIAD operational tasks by identifying possible ways to increase efficiency;
- support the production, data quality management and dissemination of the published list of financial institutions;
- help enhance the RIAD data quality framework, in close cooperation with NCBs via the RHN;
- participate in the gathering, assessment and implementation of IReF and other stakeholder needs;
- engage and collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure the effective prioritisation and smooth implementation of new RIAD requirements.

**Qualifications, experience and skills**

Essential:

- a master’s degree or equivalent in statistics, data science, mathematics, economics or another relevant field (see How you can join us for details on degree equivalences);
- in addition to the above, a minimum of three years of professional experience with the institutional and legal framework governing the collection, production and dissemination of statistics within the ESCB;
- a good knowledge of international statistical and industry standards (e.g. ESA sector, LEI) and related processes and methodologies;
- proven experience in establishing good relationships and working closely with users of statistics and other stakeholders, ideally also outside the ESCB;
- an advanced (C1) command of English and an intermediate (B1) command of at least one other official language of the EU, according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

Desired:

- experience with the production of monetary and financial statistics;
- experience with large-scale granular datasets (ideally related to entity reference information) and with monitoring and managing relevant data quality;
- knowledge of banking supervision processes and related supervisory statistics.
