**Your role**
- Do you have a passion for financial markets and associated financial risks? Do you have strong analytical skills and a desire to learn? Are you independent and self-driven? If so, we are looking for someone like you to:
- develop a sound understanding of market and treasury risk measures and controls, with a focus on risks arising in the banking book
- help identify and escalate risk concentrations to senior risk stakeholders both within the group and the European entity
- review the appropriateness of risk limits and controls, responding to changes in business, internal risk control standards or internal/external requirements
- deliver a robust governance and control framework for market and treasury risk, with a focus on documentation
- respond to requests from our main European regulators and other external stakeholders
- support the implementation of internally and regulatory driven initiatives, such as the ECB driven desk mapping review and new requirements on interest rate risk in the banking book

**Your team**
- You will be working in the Europe SE Market & Treasury Risk Control team with presence across several locations in continental Europe. The team is responsible for controlling market risk, liquidity and funding risk as well as interest rate risk in the banking book in the bank’s main European entity, whilst in close alignment with regional and divisional teams within Group Risk Control. You will be answering both to group stakeholders and locally to the entity’s CRO function and its senior management. You will have regular interaction with trading and treasury departments as well as with other governance and control functions within the entity and the group.

**Your expertise**
- You have:
- a university degree in mathematics, economics, finance or another quantitative discipline
- strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills,
- an interest is financial markets and products
- prior experience in a financial risk discipline, preferably market risk
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- experience with European financial regulation

- fluent in English and succinct in both verbal and written communication
