Technical Assistant for R&d Laboratory

**About us**:
Xpedite Diagnostics is a young biotech company based in Hallbergmoos (Germany) right next to Munich Airport. We develop and manufacture new DNA extraction technologies (SwiftX platform) that help to speed up diagnostic workflows while rendering them easier to handle, even without expensive instruments. Xpedite Diagnostics is certified according to ISO 9001:2015 and is a registered IVD manufacturer.
The current team consists of 4 highly motivated people - different professions, different nationalities, different personalities. We combine our strengths to succeed in our adventure of introducing a radically new approach of DNA extraction to different target markets. Of course, this is hard work for everyone and requires a fair amount of hard work, self-motivation, creativity and assertiveness.
Our R&D team is looking for support by a smart and efficient colleague in several exciting development projects that we are going to start towards the end of the year.
Tasks
- Molecular biological lab work (extraction, amplification, detection of DNA/RNA from various specimens)
- Basic microbiological lab work (grow BSL-2 bacteria, maintain stocks)
- Biochemical lab work (enzyme assays, bioanalytical experiments)
- Maintenance of lab infrastructure according to our quality management system
**Requirements**:
**Must have**:
- Solid background in Molecular Biology: it doesn’t matter to us, which education path you chose - but it matters that you are well equipped to understand our technologies
- Good experience in molecular biological or diagnostic laboratory work
- Self-motivated and eager to learn new skills
- Very good English in speaking and writing: we are an international team and our customers are located all over the globe
- Hands-on mindset: you will need to make decisions and you will find the space to grow personally - this is the essence of every good start-up company
- Team spirit and open-mindedness: everyone is different and brings another value to the team
**Nice to have**:
- Skills in microbiological methods is a strong plus
- Work experience in a regulated environment is a plus
- Good German at least in speaking is nice but not really necessary
- Good Excel skills are welcome and helpful
