The transportation clerk role is responsible for planning of the inbound containers in the distribution centers.
- Consistent and accurate planning of inbound containers for the DC(s).
- Constant liaison with warehousing team for planning purposes.
- Clear communication/collaboration with internal stakeholders and rest of inbound team members.
- Continuous communication with external stakeholders i.e forwarders, carriers etc.
- Advises senior management proactively of critical situations along with the expected impact and mitigation actions planned.
- Seeks for constant innovation by taking ownership on specific processes.
- Validates invoices from carriers, forwarders, agents.
- Escalation to Line Management on certain transportation topics.
- Promote transportation dept´s overall objectives.
- Minimum 3 years Transportation and/or Shipping & Logistics experience, within a preferably high-volume logistics environment.
- Eager to learn and implement new processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent listening skills.
- Capability of handling multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to have a can-do attitude and enjoy a hands-on approach to problem solving.
- Team player and solo performer.
- Previous airfreight / railfreight experience is a plus.
- Proficient in MS Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Proficient level of English language skills. German & additional languages is a plus.
