- You will inform customers about Eataly world, its wine products sold in the store. You will suggest the best combination between food and wines, telling the stories of our producers and partners. As a Wine sales assistant, you will assist in stocking, displaying, rotating and facing merchandise according to the procedures of the appropriate Eataly departments._
- You will assist customers through every step of the shopping experience, you will effectively organize and maintain the stock and storage areas of the wine shop, assist with the ordering and receiving of goods. You will maintain the cleanliness of the department._
- As ambassadors of Eataly's products and services, wine shop associates are responsible for providing a quality experience for every guest who comes to Eataly. Eataly ambassadors are expected to actively interact with guests and spend quality time with each customer._

**JOB FUNCTIONS**:
- Efficient and friendly customer service, communicating respectfully and effectively with customers at all times.
- Assisting customers by: escorting them to the products they are looking for; telling them the stories of our producers and partners; handing them products that are out of reach; loading or unloading heavy items; noting and relaying customer suggestions or requests;
- Receiving product deliveries, ensuring order and invoice accuracy and identifying discrepancies.
- Ensure that all wine and alcoholic products are laid out and marketed according to quality standards.
- Effective coordination of stock and storage of spirits products.
- Efficiently interacting with the Food & Beverage Manager for orders and supply of alcoholic beverages to all our restaurants.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment in accordance with all departmental procedures and federal and state regulations.
- Perform cleaning duties as required such as sweeping, dusting and disposal of packaging.
- Working as a team with colleagues; maintaining a positive attitude and willingness to help others.
- Punctuality - adhering to work schedule and showing up for work on time.
- Adhering to all company and department procedures, policies, expectations and quality standards.
**SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS**:
- Previous customer service experience in a Wine shop preferred (2+ years of wine sale experience).
- Good knowledge of wine, in particular Italian wine, beers and spirits.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, management and guests.
- Physical ability to work under pressure (standing, bending, stooping, etc.).
- Ability to lift weights.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Basic maths, logic and computer skills required (Outlook 365)
- Knowledge of German (fluent) or English (fluent). Italian language is a strong plus.
