The Country HR Head Germany leads and coordinates all Country HR activities in Germany and partner with local Leadership teams. The role is crucial bringing a comprehensive and solutions-based approach through a high level of strategic leadership, innovation, and effective advocacy with Worker Councils.
This position owns compliant execution of the organisational changes in country - restructuring, mergers, acquisitions, and investments, providing efficient solutions to the business.
The role assesses and anticipates needs of managers and employees and feeds back to Centers of Excellence and Strategic HR Business Partners to consider for changes and future development across Sony Europe. Centers of Excellence are accountable for strategy, policies, and processes development. After partnering with the relevant HR Centers of Excellence, HR Governance and HR Operation, Country HR Head Germany is accountable for the compliant local implementation, considering country specifics. This way the HR model will ensure keeping harmonized and consistent HR solutions across Europe.
The role manages team of CHR People Partners and HR Generalists, located in Berlin and Stuttgart, who provide solutions for all Germany based employees, that include country level, European and global positions, or hosted functions.
You will:
- Contribute to the Leadership teams based in Germany in effective, mutually supportive, and sufficient decision-making processes- Lead the development and update of the CHR strategy, within Sony’s overall European strategic frameworks- Lead the development of the country Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Wellbeing and Health and Safety initiatives within strategic objectives- Ensure excellent and productive relations with all key stakeholders in Country including local authorities- Ensure that CHR teams in Berlin and Stuttgart have set strategy formulated into clear goals and objectives- Ensure an open and trust-based dialogue through regular coordination meetings to ensure alignment with the overall strategy- Create opportunities for people to learn and grow- Manages team performance and address capacity through the staffing plans, recruitment, and development of staff- Travel to offices for direct support and representation
You will bring:
- University Degree / (Bachelor or Master or similar Degree)- Broad experience and knowledge of the country legal HR framework- Experience in working within international matrix organizations and with works Council / employee forums- Fluent in German and English- Experience of working with and influencing Senior Management on HR issues- Willingness to travel when required, including internationally
