Applications are invited for doctoral researchers starting in April 2025 or upon mutual agreement in Condensed Matter Theory and Quantum Information.
The doctoral researcher will theoretically investigate spin-photon coupling, quantum entanglement, and high-fidelity quantum control in color centers in diamond and silicon carbide.
Your Responsibilities
- Research in theoretical modelling of spin physics in color centers, spin qubits, quantum coherent control, quantum entanglement, and spin-photon interfaces
- Investigations are part of the EIC Pathfinder research program QuSPARC funded by the European Union

Your Competencies
- Master's degree in (theoretical) physics
- Experience in at least one of the following research areas: Condensed matter theory, Quantum information and quantum computation, Theory of solid-state qubits, Open quantum systems, Semiconductor physics, Physics of color centers and defects
