Robotics Technician

Your responsibilities:

- Technical maintenance of the robotics equipment, including regular inspections, installation and updates of software packages, troubleshooting of technical issues, and preventive maintenance
- Supervision of day-to-day activities in the laboratory, ensuring proper usage of equipment by team members and an efficient laboratory infrastructure
- keep operating systems, middleware, libraries, and software packages of the heterogeneous equipment in relatively similar version-states to support the transfer of methods from one set-up to another
- Technical support (for equipment and related software) as well as supervision for students, researchers, and external visitors.
- Co-supervision of lab courses or other practical course components
- Support in the implementation and monitoring of safety measures. Supervision of compliance with safety measures.
- Provide a stable knowledge basis over extended periods of time

Your qualifications:

- Background in Computer Science or related disciplines, at least on the level of Bachelor
- Good knowledge of Ubuntu Linux, the Robot Operating System (ideally ROS2), and programming in C++
- Knowledge of ROS packages, e.g., related to mapping, motion planning, or perception, is a plus
- Experience with integrating, respectively using ROS and related software on real-world
