Combine your scientific interest and technical skills in the field of electrical engineering to create new knowledge for the socially and scientifically relevant areas of information, energy and bioeconomy. We offer you all of this at the Central Institute of Engineering, Electronics and Analytics - Electronic Systems (ZEA-2) with modelling, designing and developing the most innovative system solutions for science and society. In recent years, there has been a surge in research on novel computing architectures and artificial intelligence. This has led to the discovery of a completely new range of approaches to investigate highly efficient, low-power VLSI implementations using, among others: Neuromorphic-inspired computing, Innovative devices such as non-volatile, multilevel memristors, Computing-In-Memory (CIM), Content Addressable Memories (CAM), and Spiking Neural Networks (SNN).

**Your Job**:

- Identify areas where neuromorphic-inspired paradigms can be applied
- Develop concepts to integrate CMOS circuits with neuromorphic elements by custom analog, digital, or mixed-signal circuits
- Publish your findings in scientific journals and present your results at international conferences
- Supervise doctoral researchers and students

**Your Profile**:

- Master degree and doctoral degree (PhD) in electrical engineering, physics, or similar fields
- Experience in the development of neuromorphic hardware implementations and a good overview of the field
- Knowledge of integrated CMOS circuit design is beneficial
- Ability to monitor and guide the developments of others relevant to your topic
- Experience with scientific publications and presentations
