**Job Description**:
To support our strong growth and build a world-class corporate finance function, we are seeking an experienced and highly motivated _Financial _**_Accountant_** to report to the SSU Group's **_Head of_**_ Financial Accounting._

The _Financial Accountant _**_is_** responsible for the timely preparation of the monthly financial statements of the SSU Group's group holding companies. The tasks also include the documentation of business processes and the monthly implementation of relevant SOx controls for the companies.

**Tasks and responsibilities**:

- Preparatory activities and support in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements according to HGB and IFRS
- Control of open items and weekly reconciliation of all bank accounts of the group holding companies
- Preparation and submission of reports to tax authorities
- Accounting processing and control of all business transactions: accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank, G/L accounts and fixed assets
- Conducting monthly and quarterly SOx checks

**Qualifications**:

- Completed commercial training - ideally with further training as a financial accountant or tax clerk
- 3+ years of relevant work experience
- Hands-on mentality and can-do attitude
- Experience working with regulators, auditors and tax advisors
- Experience in dealing with accounting software such as Datev and SAP
- Knowledge of accounting issues and accounting guidelines according to HGB and IFRS
- Good Excel skills and attention to detail
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
- Fluent German, business fluent English
