"Development of a bio-based adhesive system for the paper processing industry"
**Reference Number**: WS232435M
Bergische Universität Wuppertal | Hochschule der Medien, Stuttgart
The Bergische Universität Wuppertal, specifically the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Information Technology and Media Technology, and the Hochschule der Medien, specifically the Faculty of Print and Media, conduct research in the field of developing new materials for print and packaging media. Our development work contributes significantly to addressing the following social challenges: sustainable recycling of fibrous materials, on-demand production in the areas of print and packaging, and individualisation of products. Both universities play a central role in the innovation process of the printing and packaging industry. They focus on future-relevant key technologies and the exploitation of results in business and industry.
The two study programmes in Print Media and Packaging Technologies at Hochschule der Medien, a University of Applied Sciences, is currently exploring the future of adhesive systems that impact the flotation of paper and board recycling. The development of bio-based and biocompatible adhesives is becoming increasingly important for sustainable production. For instance, bio-based adhesives are already being used in the field of biosensors.
**What you will be doing**:
