For our largest European production site in **Wesseling/ Knapsack near Cologne**, we are looking for a qualified

**(Senior) Sourcing Specialist (M/F/d)**
**Raw Material Procurement - APS Europe**

**Responsibilities & Accountabilities**
- Executes the sourcing process and is able to effectively source raw materials in such a manner that internal customer needs are addressed.
- Understands strategies for assigned categories and proactively drives initiatives to meet sourcing objectives.
- Preparation of sourcing initiatives through data modeling and analysis and execution of change management and implementation of new processes.
- Works collaboratively with stakeholders to understand demands and prepare demand forecasts
- Performs spend analysis by collecting and analyzing spend data
- Ensures high ethical and financial control compliance standards are met by the organization.
- Maximizes revenue share and controls cost by responding to audits, surveys, or other information requests from internal and external sources.
- Works collaboratively with the stakeholders in the implementation of strategic sourcing initiatives.
- Demonstrates the initiative to challenge inefficiencies, process deviations, and strategy deviations.
- Identifies and select suppliers who prioritize sustainability practices, contribution to our company´s commitment to environmental and social responsibility.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience (Master’s degree is a plus)
- Experience in Business related positions required
- Several or first years of chemical or related industry experience and knowledge related to purchasing and materials management is preferred
- Good MS-Office skills, SAP of advantage
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a global team
- Good English skills required
- Negotiations and contract experience preferred
