In order to support our **international **team **within **Customer Service **for **aircraft cabin upgrades **, Airbus is looking for a

**Flammability Specialist (d/f/m)**:
located in **Hamburg **, Germany, with a **start date of July 2024 **(earlier/later possible).

The Flammability Specialist is responsible for checking, approving and managing all customer fire specific items related to cabin equipment like seats, galleys, lavatories, stowages, side wall panels, carpets etc. as part of an Airbus Cabin Upgrade project for civil programs (A320, A330, A350, A380).

In this position, you are responsible for contributing to the customization of cabin equipment taking into account existing aircraft cabins, airworthiness and customer specific requirements to fulfill high Airbus quality standards and economic aspects. As you work in close cooperation with international suppliers, you represent Airbus in external relations.

**Your location**

You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. **Your tasks and responsibilities**
- You are managing fire safety topics regarding completeness for Airbus cabin upgrades projects for all programs
- You check vendor fire property test reports with regards to the relevant justification and certification requirements
- Approval or acceptance of customer fire property test reports, fire property comparison reports, similarity statement and minor modification document
- Act as Airbus representative for all relevant fire safety items during cabin upgrades projects
- Preparing of airworthiness documents under consideration of fire safety regulations for cabin equipment
- You assess, release and ensure the on-time deliveries by the vendor using tools, such as Vendor Document Tracker (VT3). You initiate escalations, status reporting and required mitigation actions
- You represent Airbus in external relations with external equipment manufacturers in conjunction with their deliverables such as drawings, test plans and reports

**Desired skills and qualifications**
- Educated Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Technology or completed technical apprenticeship (e.g. in aviation sector) with appropriate further training/education
- You have gained experience of the airworthiness requirements for flammability qualification of materials and/or aircraft cabin equipment
- You have a understanding of technical project management
- Experiences working on definition and design of engineering products is part of your profile
- Experience in the field of aircraft customization and/or certification would be a clear plus
