**Postdoctoral position (f/m/x) in Observational Astrophysics**

**YOUR TASKS**:

- The successful applicant will take a leading role in the sub-project “A high-resolution view of massive stars in peculiar habitats”. The broad objective is to share our understanding of massive star formation and evolution in different environments such as the Galactic Center, galactic clusters and low-metallicity environments as, e.g., the Magellanic Clouds by making use of infrared (VLT, VLTI, JWST) and sub-mm observational data. Their work is part of a large, international collaboration exploring different spatial and temporal scales.

**YOUR PROFILE**:

- The applicant should have a PhD in astronomy and astrophysics or related field, with demonstrated experience in observational astrophysics.They are highly motivated, show scientific independence, critical thinking, as well as an ability to co-supervise bachelor/master students. Carrying out teaching duties in English and/or German is expected.

**The position is available from 01.10.2023 on a full-time basis (39,83 hours per week). It is limited until 30.06.2027. If the applicant meets the relevant wage requirements and personal qualifications, the salary will be based on remuneration group 13 TV-L of the pay scale for the German public sector.**
