The mission of Open Sesame Therapeuticsis to develop delivery systems for macromolecule therapeutics. By exploiting the knowledge of endocytosis and endosomal transport, we aim to identify novel receptors and ligands for targeting macromolecule therapeutics to specific cells or tissues and develop new approaches to improve endosomal escape of macromolecule therapeutics.
Open Sesame Therapeutics is looking for a highly motivated research associate with a strong background in biochemistry and cell biology to work in an interdisciplinary project that aims to identify novel receptors on endosomal compartments. We are looking for a self-motivated, enthusiastic person who is well organized, flexible, and reliable and enjoys working in a team.
**Required qualifications**
- Training as a technical assistant (BTA, CTA, MTA) or equivalent qualification. University graduates (B.Sc./M.Sc.) are encouraged to apply.
- At least 3 years of work experience in an academic or company environment
- Proficiency in biochemical, molecular and cellular biology techniques, especially HPLC, western blotting, immunoprecipitation, and molecular cloning
- Experience in isolation, cultivation and manipulation of cell lines
- German and English proficiency
**Desired qualifications**:
- Experience in primary cell culture would be advantageous
