**Duties**:

- Incumbent is responsible for or performs a wide variety of public service duties: circulation, reference/reader's advisory, database searching, collection maintenance, programming, marketing, displays/publicity, interlibrary loans, reserves.
- May manage a branch library or serve as a lead departmental library technician. Trains others in the performance of library technician duties.
- Performs selected administrative management duties to include ensuring internal controls are in place in public services and/or technical services.

- A one year probationary period may be required.
- Incumbent may perform physical exertion such as long periods of standing, bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, pushing of loaded trucks; and recurring lifting of heavy items such as boxes of books or journals.
- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Army Europe (USAREUR) Certificate of license.

**Qualifications**:

- One year of work experience that equipped the applicant with practical knowledge of library or related information services, tools, and methods and procedures. Experience must have been gained at the next lower level.**Best Qualified criteria**:
1. Minimum of 12 months progressively responsible experience working in library setting that showcases the ability to perform technical services, including cataloging and processing of library materials.- 3. Experience using a bibliographic utility such as Online Computer Library Center (OCLC) or SkyRiver.**Claimed experience must be verifiable through your resume. Assumptions will not be made.**

**PCS Costs**
- Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.

**Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differential**s
- This is a pay-banded position.
- Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. **_If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay._** When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday).
- Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. When authorized, night differential will be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600.

**Incentives and Bonuses**
- Incentives will not be paid.

- Foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
