Director Genomics Research

**Job description**:

- Leadership and professional guidance of a growing research team
- Participation in the strategy process of ProtaGene’s genomic services portfolio by identification and development of safety relevant methods for Cell & Gene Therapy
- Set-up, management, and coordination of analytical method development for internal and client projects in time and in scope
- Connect with clients and scientific key opinion leaders in the field of CGT safety assessment
- Support of our marketing department and Sales activities, as required, with scientific content
- Representation of the company on scientific congresses

**Job requirements**:

- Successfully completed scientific degree in the life science field (e.g., genomics, molecular medicine), preferably Ph.D.
- Broad knowledge upon analytical environment for safety testing the Cell
- and Gene Therapy space, with a focus on NGS and PCR based methods
- Scientific background in the field of gene therapy is a plus
- Ability to conduct scientific projects with sensibility for industry standards, economic aspects, and market need
- Experience in leading teams within a quickly changing environment
- Very good communication skills with international clients and within our international team
- Industry experience minimum 3 years or 5 years of Postdoc with responsibility for a team
- GCP/GLP experience is a plus
- Fluency in both German and English
