Pension Benefits Specialist

We are looking for a Pension Benefits Specialist for our German HR Operations responsible for overseeing the management of our programmes. Equipped with your broad knowledge and past working experience with retirement and insurance plans, you will be accountable for ensuring handling all inquiries about company insurance and retirement benefits, ensuring that employees receive the proper benefits package, follow up with health care providers and investment brokers and consult with management about newly available benefits and insurance plans. Prior experience with outsourcing benefits administration and / or alignment of benefits in mergers and acquisitions is an advantage.

You will have a lot of opportunities to learn and grow in a collaborative work environment with multiple stakeholders and sometimes a tight deadline.

Your key task will be centred around:
Your tasks and responsibilities
- Acting as the concept owner for the retirement benefit plan policies, procedures, and legal requirements to company management, employees and beneficiaries
- Owning the overarching program design e.g. for health and welfare, retirement etc. and any adjustment of these
- Plan management including ensuring administration is done in accordance with established guidelines and regulations
- Conducting benefits coverage evaluation, benchmarking, and cost analysis to ensure offerings are competitive. As well as researching and initiating recommendations for appropriate new benefits plans and services or alternative options to existing ones
- Proactively communicating with stakeholders e.g., guidance on benefit program features, plans, and options to employees and management
- Relationship manager for vendors e.g., insurance and pension brokers, consultants for program design advice, etc. focused on ensuring quality service delivery and timely resolution of issues
- Maintains knowledge of legal and regulatory changes, trends, and other developments affecting retirement benefits

We expect you have
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field required.
- 5+years of experience with retirement, insurance benefits, financial planning, or actuarial services required
- Thorough understanding of laws, regulations, and agency interpretations or opinions related to retirement benefits
- Solid organization skills and communicates clearly and effectively
- Strong interpersonal skills maintaining relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
