**Job Description**:
**Do you want to contribute to a fossil free future by developing offshore wind power plants?**

You have the opportunity to work within the Business Area (BA) Wind. BA Wind is responsible for the development, construction and operation of wind power assets. We manage the maintenance, operation and continuous improvement of wind generation assets, safely and with the highest levels of availability and profitability. We carry out the sourcing and development of wind projects as well as having the full responsibility for wind project execution. We also perform the structuring and execution of project partnerships in accordance with our overall wind strategy.

The Offshore Wind Resource and Production department is responsible for the end-to-end calculation and assessment of production of all our offshore windfarms from the planning to operational phase. Your main task is to support project development activities in the pre-construction phase, analyse wind conditions and perform pre-construction yield assessments.

As a **Specialist in the department Offshore Wind Resource & Production**, your main tasks and responsibilities are:

- Develop wind measurement strategies and analyse as well as document our offshore wind measurements (met-masts, floating LIDARS, etc.).
- Generate wind farm energy yield assessments utilizing both low and high fidelity wake modelling approaches.
- Evaluate project specific wind farm wake losses in depth using state of the art CFD methods.
- Work in close cooperation with our technical project management and associated project teams.
- Understand and implement learnings generated from our post-construction assessments.
- Disseminate knowledge within the department and ensure learnings find their way into our best practice guidelines.
- Take responsibility for the relevant warranty documents within the wind turbine tender process.

There is a lot of room to shape the future. You will analyse project sites across the North and Baltic Sea with all their associated intricacies. Working within the confines of tight project deadlines while continually improving our way of working will be a challenge, but equally rewarding. **Qualifications**:
**Your profile as an Offshore Flow Modelling Specialist**

For this position we look for someone with:

- A University degree in a relevant scientific discipline.
- An in depth understanding of state of the art RANS-CFD modelling techniques, in particular for wind turbine wakes.
- Experience using the open source CFD software OpenFoam.
- Fluency in English, both oral and written.
- High proficiency with coding in Python.
- Good understanding of maritime boundary layer flows and wind turbine operations.
- An understanding of industry standard engineering wake models.
- First experience with a wind farm developer, wind turbine manufacturer, wind resource consultancy group, within a comparable industrial sector or at a relevant academic institution.
- Experience with wind industry standard analysis software (e.g. Windographer and WindPRO) is helpful.
