**Responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:

- Aviation Ground Support Equipment Technician has proven maintenance, repair and technical experience and background in industrial manufacturing, commercial maintenance or military operations or maintenance.
- Repairs, rebuilds, or overhauls major assemblies of internal combustion automobiles, buses, trucks, tractors, and aviation ground equipment.
- Work involves replacing worn or broken parts such as piston rings, bearings, or other engine parts; grinding and adjusting valves; rebuilding carburetors; overhauling transmissions; and repairing fuel injection, lighting, and ignition systems.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

**Required Qualifications**:

- ** Must obtain or already have an active **Germany/E.U. Work VISA** to be considered.**:

- **6+ years** of qualified automotive maintenance experience.
- Ability to meet the government deployment physical requirements.
- Maintenance support includes operations of powered and non-powered units, system troubleshooting, engineering, analysis, maintenance and repair of commercial and military aviation ground support systems and subsystems to the component level.
- Proficient with a variety of hand tools, diagnostic tools, power tools, multi-meters.
- Effectively applies industry or military standard troubleshooting procedures to localize and isolate faulty system components.
- Preferably familiar or knowledge with commercial and military aviation ground support equipment.
- Prior training or maintenance experience on light or heavy-duty trucks, ground power units, aircraft tugs, air conditioning and heater units, cargo loaders, de-icing vehicles, runway sweepers, light carts, aircraft towbars, firefighting equipment, fuel and defuel equipment required.
- Travel to hostile areas is required.
- Must be able to meet all government Individual Replacement Deployment Operations (IRDO) requirements for foreign travel into operational locations.
- Position requires moderate to lengthy travel to various US or OCONUS locations. We seek flexibility and willingness to deploy to all/any of these locations, including Southwest Asia and South-Central Asia. Some OCONUS deployments may be hostile ("war zone") environments.
- Insurable Driver's License required.
- ** Ability to successfully pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screening.**:

- Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
- Possession of a valid European or German driver's license is required (OR) the ability to obtain a valid driving license before beginning employment.

**Desired Qualifications**:

- Holding an existing German or European Work VISA is preferred.
- Prior training or maintenance experience on MRAP FOV systems preferable.
- Preferably familiar or knowledgeable with MRAP/RCV systems.
- Willingness to travel to hostile areas is desired.
- Willingness to travel to various US or OCONUS locations.
- Willingness to deploy to all/any of these locations, including Southwest Asia and South-Central Asia.
- Some OCONUS deployments may be too risky hostile ("war zone") environments which earn larger bonuses.

**Security Clearance Requirements**:

- Must be able to obtain and maintain a (**DoD) Public Trust** clearance.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Must be able to balance, bend, carry, crouch, stretch and knee.
- Must be able to push, pull, and reach.
- Must be able to work in high noise areas.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs and small parts.
- Must be able to work with computers and CRTs, and type on a computer keyboard.
