At CleverShuttle, we believe in emission-free and affordable mobility for all. “On-demand” is a new concept in public transport that creates unlimited access to sustainable mobility, so that no one feels they are missing out by not having their own car. We aim to achieve this by efficiently marshalling the strengths that distinguish us, namely a motivated team, intelligent software and process excellence.
The vision for our software platform is being the leading SaaS used by public and private mobility operators to efficiently manage driver based and autonomous fleets across transportation modes for people and goods mobility.
For one of our software engineering teams we are looking for a Team lead. The team is working on services steering and observing the ride pooling operations and by that will be one of the key domains enabling highly automated and decentralised operation of our demand respond travel operations. Work location will be Berlin or distributed.
What awaits you with us
- You manage a team of up to 4 engineers (e.g., performance, growth, culture, tenure).
- Together with your team you build up micro-services from scratch or extend existing ones.
- Together with your team you perform the technical designs for the services you build and align them with the engineering organisation.
- Your main activity is managing the team but it is highly desirable that you can also code.
- You mentor and coach your team members.
- You ensure your team delivers in good quality and velocity.
- You ensure your team is running solid agile processes and a solid CI/CD pipeline.
- Together with the Director of Engineering you define the engineering technology strategy.
What you bring with you
- You have experience in leading, mentoring, and developing an engineering team.
- You are a senior software engineer.
- You love coding, especially in technologies like Java, Spring/Spring Boot/Spring Security, DBMS like Postgres and JPA or NoSQL like DynamoDB, JUnit, Maven/Git.
- You have experiences with paradigm & design patterns like micro-services, test driven development, Http/Rest API design. A bonus would be some experience with event driven design.
- It would be nice if you have good knowledge in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Github Actions) including containerisation and infrastructures based on AWS with Terraform.
- You are keen to stay on the edge of technological developments in your domain.
- You are a good onto the point communicator.
- You love to share your knowledge and experiences with colleagues.
- You enjoy working agile frameworks like Scrum or Kanban.
- You are a team player.
- You are engaged and committed.
- You are flexible and dynamic. You not only seek out new challenges, but you love modern mobility concepts and the vision of a sustainable world.
- You feel comfortable working in a company the non tech departments business language is German, while the whole product engineering department business language is English. Please note, if needed we will fund intensive German language courses (financially and workdays).
