**Job Description**:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join **Wärme Berlin AG **as the **Head of Strategic Asset Management & Markets**. You will be responsible for developing a holistic asset portfolio strategy and execution roadmap detailing the company’s ambition to transform towards climate neutrality whilst securing sustainable profitability. This function reports directly into the CEO.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Development of the asset portfolio (specification, fuel, technology & capacity)
- Setting and tracking specific goals for the asset portfolio over the entire asset lifecycle
- Identification of performance improvement measures balancing asset related risks and opportunities
- Responsibility for strategic asset control and monitoring (asset performance management)
- Leading all aspects of the mid-/long term markets function focusing on securing revenue streams and optimizing energy economics

**Qualifications**:
**Professional Experiences / Qualifications**
- Master’s degree in business, engineering or equivalent
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in a management role with significant disciplinary & budget accountability
- Ability to navigate cross-functional relationships, resolve issues and conflicts with proven experience driving teams to a successful alignment and completion of asset and market related projects
- Familiarity with information management practices, system development life cycle management, infrastructure and operations
- Knowledge of business models, operating models, financial models, cost-benefit analysis, budgeting and risk management
- Solid understanding of energy economics / commodity trading, portfolio management and hedging
- Business fluent in both German and English, spoken and written, with German as key working language
