Head of Price and Costing Eds Emea

This role is to build an EMEA estimating team and implement a modern estimating tool, standardize and digitalize processes and streamline the EMEA estimating organization.
**Your role**:
Organization:
- Build EMEA costing team and develop decentralized team members (Flow#3 - #5).
- Alignment with other functions, standard costs and catalogs.
- Review state of the art in costing tools (HW/SW) and identify opportunities to reduce costs through standardization and process optimization
- Responsible for the costing process (Flow#3 - 5) in EMEA
- Streamlining of the EMEA costing organization
Margin improvement activities:
- Support Flow#2 and Flow#3 in identifying target costs for BBP Yes project tracking.
- Support best cost material in material cost database and link to best OEM pricing
Cost Control:
- Participate in critical cost gates and review cost input from other departments.
- Follow-up with appropriate departments to maintain battle plan cost structures
- Track and report cost trends from RFQ to SOP (material, labor, and SG&A costs).
- Controlling and validating tools and investments
Pricing Support:
- Assist commercial teams with complete proposals and EC to improve pricing.
- Coordinate with other functions such as ECM, VAVE, etc. on cost savings and smart pricing opportunities
- Support commercial teams in commercial negotiations and by providing training on costs and smart pricing
**Your background**:
- Experienced operations manager, ideally with experience as a plant manager and finance director
- Several years of experience in leading estimating teams in an international company, preferably in the automotive cabling sector
- In-depth knowledge of the automotive market, both OEM and suppliers
- Proven leadership and negotiation skills in managing, facilitating and integrating teams and large groups of stakeholders
- Excellent analytical skills, strategic mind and the will to succeed
- Excellent command of written and spoken English, other languages are an asset
- Experience in the use of SAP and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Willingness to travel in a European context
