Offshore Hse Specialist

We are looking for an Offshore HSE Specialist (H2 & Associated Technologies) to support our growing technology portfolio of projects globally and to work with the Offshore development and engineering teams on HSE advice and support for Hydrogen technologies and associated emerging technologies.

This HSE specialist Role will offer specialist hydrogen safety and safety engineering advice to the offshore development teams with HSE compliance, monitoring and advisory HSE specialist support such as safe by design concepts, regulatory compliance and industry best practice.

**Your future plans**
- HSE professional responsible for providing independent, expert, and professional advice and guidance to the offshore H2 & Emerging Technology projects relating to specialist HSE risks
- Actively participating in the promotion of a high standard of health, safety, and environmental awareness and culture of care at designated operational offshore wind farms where special projects are being undertaken
- Specialist HSE advice to be provided projects relating to HSE during the planning and execution phase and on risk management processes related to Hydrogen and relevant Hazard Studies, design decision making and design risk registers and related control strategies
- Acting as a Specialist on Hydrogen Safety matters and supporting Procurement, Engineering and wider HSE Development and Construction teams on HSE topics related to Hydrogen projects being undertaken by RWE offshore
- Acting as a liaison and support with Procurement on HSE topics related to allocated offshore Hydrogen projects being undertaken in order to ensure timely completion of supplier lifecycle assessments, tender returns and HSE documentation reviews as required
- Produce, review and update health & safety related documentation required by the allocated offshore projects and site information as designated
- Lead for cultural engagement with project teams and contractors to eliminate and reduce risks, develop HSE culture on site and adherence to HSE standards and rules
- Cooperating with line management and where applicable JV board members to develop and implement measures and solutions to address HSE considerations on special projects execution
- Ensuring that Hydrogen and associated stored energies and safety from the system is considered, controlled through the project teams design and planning arrangements and where required practical implementation advice is provided regarding asset related safety systems

**Your profile**
- Degree in Health and Safety related discipline, engineering / safety engineering or similar
- Process Safety knowledge and Process Engineering experience essential
- They will ideally hold an audit qualification such as OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001/ISO 14001 internal auditor, along with an Incident root cause analysis qualification
- Knowledge of Hydrogen Major Accident and Hazard Industries and high complex assets and Equivalent Systems
- Member of a relevant industry body (i.e. IOSH, IIRSM etc.)
- GWO certification would be desirable
- Experience as HSE professional, preferably in Offshore Wind, energy or oil and gas sectors
- Good written and spoken English, further foreign languages are an advantage
