In order to manage current and future projects, **Airbus Helicopters Donauwörth **is looking for **you **as our new **PRODUCT OWNER **(d/m/w) FOR **MISSION SYSTEMS WITH FOCUS ON NH90 **.**

**Mission and m **ain tasks/activities**:
You will join a team of 55 engineers in the "Situational Awareness and Mission Management" department which is in charge of terrain/weather/threats/traffic awareness functions, vision enhancement and targeting systems, data-links as well as mission management systems for all Airbus Helicopters (e-)VTOLs.

The Product Owner (Squad Leader) is the role within a Scrum Team (Squad) that is responsible for the business success of a product/project. Thus, the job holder is responsible for maximizing the value of the mission avionics systems to be developed and their quality.
- She/he is the interface to the customers of the Scrum Team and other stakeholders and is responsible for the implementation of customer requirements and the protection of the interests of the various stakeholders.
- She/he ensures the development of the product 'NH90 Mission Avionics System' according to customer requirements, schedule and constraints such as availability of development and test resources. He does this in close coordination with the Avionics MAS and the involved Scrum Teams. He coordinates the competence and capacity requirements with the department heads.
- She/he prioritises the development activities in the backlog with the aim of maximising the value of the product and making optimal use of the skills and capacities in the teams.
- She/he is responsible for the short and long-term development progress of the mission system. To do this, he monitors progress and synchronisation of the different streams.
- She/he develops and communicates the vision of the final product.
- She/he strives for continuous improvement of the streams through regular retrospectives and adjustments in collaboration with MAS and Metier.
- She/he is leading technically the team to ensure delivery of a product on time, cost and quality (according to mission letter / aligments meetings / EPICS)
- She/he protects the team from external disturbances
- Manage the backlog for development and platform integration activities keeping the customer view to prioritize the development
- She/he coordinates the squad activities and members, promotes team spirit and team work

**Qualifications, skills and experience**:

- Academic studies in the field of Physics, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or similar
- Comprehensive experience in the design, development, engineering and integration of complex avionic systems/equipment
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of systems engineering processes incl. requirements engineering, validation & verification
- Previous experience in development and integration of mission systems is an advantage
- Comprehensive experience in Supplier Management
- A previous experience with agile methodology (Scrum, SAFe) is an advantage
- Team spirit, facilitator mindset, transparency, good communication skills and experience in stakeholder management
- Trust in Squad performance autonomy, Customer oriented, reliability.
- Language skills: English business fluent / negotiation level. Knowledge of German, French is an advantage

At our Donauwörth site, located on the banks of the river Danube, we develop helicopters from the initial idea to the airworthy product. Watch them take off and touch down on our own on-site test airfield.
