Your mission
**One thing is for sure**: there will be enough challenges in the upcoming years for Blickfeld on its journey toward market leadership in the industrial LiDAR space. But let’s be honest; that is what makes this position so exciting. And thus Blickfeld is looking for a highly motivated, skilled and experienced Director Finances to master the challenge. Blickfeld has developed a superior LiDAR technology, cumulating in our recently announced 2. Generation LiDAR ‘Qb2’. The industry-first smart 3D LiDAR combines high-performance sensing with advanced on-device processing, WIFI & swarm capabilities to offer best-class TCO (Total-Cost-of-Ownership). This paves the way to commercial scale and conquer the industrial space. This transformation needs solid grounds regarding finance such as accounting & controlling, subsidiary management, cash-flow management, year end closing.
Your tasks
- You enable the transformation of Blickfeld to a profitable market leader in the industrial LiDAR space by setting up
- You implement an efficient cost structure throughout Blickfeld, by setting up and controlling agreed budgets
- You drive our international strategy with strategic and operative oversight over our legal entities such as USA and China
- You support Blickfeld management in its reporting to the board and investors
- You drive tools & systems setup for an efficient accounting & controlling structure
- You supervise all accounting & controlling activities with the team and external parties (tax advisors, auditors,...)
- You lead the finance team
**Profile**:
- You have at least 5-7 years’ experience in a similar position
- You are mission-driven and self-motivated, with ability to take the initiative with little direction
- You have exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills with high attention to detail as well as willingness to go the extra mile also on operational tasks; typical for a start-up
- You have excellent verbal and written skills in English and German and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with senior leaders, external partners and internal staff
- You have an entrepreneurial mindset with excellent organizational skills, the ability to be flexible, & prioritize responsibilities
- You have the curiosity and willingness to learn, your positive attitude motivates the team you are leading
- You have ample experience in German and international accounting standards
