**Job Summary**:
The position, reporting to the Plant Manager of XXXXXX, is responsible for the leadership of all ABS initiatives targeted to the creation, fostering, and nurturing a deployed ABS culture across all levels of the local organization.

The ABS manager is the single point of accountability for the development of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma activities, including Kaizen, problem Solving, SMD, statistical analyses, aimed to the continuous improvement of all departments of the location.

This position requires in-depth knowledge of concepts, philosophy and tools of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma, as well as a proven hands-on experience in leading multiple improvement processes and in training several individuals that in turn should become trainers and ambassadors of the system on a train-the-trainer hierarchy.

The position must be at ease in reporting both internally and externally to the Headquarter the results and the KPIs achieved and must act as the right hand of the Plant Manager on all themes connected with waste and losses eradication and lean management deployment.
- Continuous performance, update and review of a master Value Stream Map for all areas of the location in order to continuously identify sources of losses and waste.
- Develop plans for continuous improvement initiatives across all areas and sort them out according to expected revenue in terms of cost/benefit returns.
- Propose and suggest to higher management areas for improvements and request resources to allocate to selected initiatives
- Perform initial and kick-off meetings on all Kaizen and Problem-Solving exercises, ensuring that participants understand the basics of the process and the content of the exercise.
- Ensure that all KPIs are properly addressed and that the method for problem solving is understood, taught, used at all levels of the organization.
- Act as the union point between HQ and local resources, participate, and organize required trainings for employees and for train-the-trainer purposes.
- Actively participate as senior member knowledgeable of the Business system to selected initiatives to ensure and favor their success.
- Generate and maintain a master plan of improvements that should include general revenues or savings and that will be part of the budgeting sessions year by year.
- Ensure that all processes and processes created via the ABS deployment are correctly connected and fitting within the quality and Health and Safety Systems of the company, along with the Human Resources management system.
- Have control and not ownership of the KPIs selection acquired at the daily management meetings, correct and propose new KPIs as needed
