Senior Research Associate

We are seeking for a
- ** Senior Research Associate (M/F/d) in molecular plant breeding **on a full time and permanent basis contract. You will work in the breeding technology team for maize and oilseed crops at KWS SAAT SE & Co KGaA in Einbeck, Germany.**Your tasks**:

- Performance of sequence-alignments and -assemblies for detection of sequence variants for molecular marker development
- Performance of greenhouse programs for sampling of plant material for molecular genetics experiments
- Documentation and database import of results
- Work in an international team of plant breeders and geneticists

**Your profile**:

- Vocational Training as BTA/ATA/PT or graduate degree (B.Sc., M.Sc.) in biology, agricultural sciences, biotechnology or bioinformatics or related area
- Knowledge and practical experience in plant molecular biology and bioinformatics
- Practical experience in plant growth and -sampling in the greenhouse
- Profound knowledge in MS-Office, bioinformatic tools and basic data analysis
- Knowledge in plant breeding and genotyping technologies is a plus
- High motivation for own development
- Excellent team player and communication skills
- Professional written and verbal communication skills in English and/or German
